Funday Friday Challenge "Tag Your It"

Stampin Royals Linky Party - HERE

Welcome to another Funday Friday Challenge!  This week our theme is to make a Tag Mini Album.  Disclaimer: I didn't realize it had to be a mini album when I created my tag.

I am sharing a tag I created using the Cricut Explore and the Freshly Picked and 3D Flowers cricut cartridges.    I am also using 3 Twenty Crafts "Strike A Pose" and CTMH "Cityscape" stamp sets. I decided to do some gradient sponging.  I started with Broken China Distressed Ink and added some Faded Jeans Distressed Ink for the  sky background. I finished the card with some of the enamel dots and ribbon.

Cricut Explore Birthday Card

I can't believe that my birthday is in a couple of days. I use to be so depress about my birthday especially when I was approaching 30.  However, with so many people leaving this world at young ages, I am grateful to be alive and to see the age of 33.  I have been reflecting on my past 33 years and I can say that I have made a lot of bad choices.  However, without those bad choices, I would not be the woman I am today.  As long as my mom can look back at me and be proud of the job she did raising me, then I am happy.

Now that I have that off my chest, let's talk about the card.  I used the explosion birthday card make it now project in the Design Space to create this card.  I love this card!  This is the first card I made using the scoring stylus.  I used some SU! card stock for the base and inside layer.  My only recommendation would be that when using thicker card stock and the scoring stylus, you may want to go back over the score line.

I decided to pop up the happy birthday burst.  The sentiment was written with the Cricut Silver Metallic Pen. I love this feature of the Cricut Explore.  The ability to create your own sentiments is fantastic!

This is all for today! See you again tomorrow!

For my first project, I decided to create a simple layout.  There is more embellishing that I am planning on doing, but I am waiting until after my birthday.

Thank My Lucky Stars with Lawn Fawn Stamps

I am taking the new Clean and Simple Card Class offered by Online Card Classes.  This is the third class in the Clean and Simple series which is focusing on one layer cards.

For my card, I used the Faux Layered Die Cuts technique also known as the die cut inlay technique.  I like the card, but I think I should have placed the jewels in other places.  However, I do love how the technique turned out.

Iron-on T-Shirt with the Cricut Explore

Hi friends! I have been really enjoying the Cricut Explore.  I went to Michaels to get some of the Cricut Iron-on and some t-shirts.  I love how this shirt came out even though I was off on the centering.

Here are a couple of videos on the Cricut Explore and Iron-ons.

Cricut Explore in the House!

March's Linky Party - HERE

I am so excited to have my Cricut Explore.  I had to wait an extra day to get it because of the snow, but it was definitely worth the wait.  I have not been disappointed yet with the machine.  I am still learning how to use the write and print feature, but luckily there are videos out on it.  I decided to make this quick card with the machine using the CTMH Artbooking cartridge and the new Stamps of Life Crazy4daisies stamp set. The cuts were sharp and precise.  The negative reviews I have seen are not justified in my opinion.  Time will tell if the Cricut Explore will be a good machine or not.  If you are on the fence about getting the machine, please remember that the Cricut Explore was just released and give it some time to see what the general consensuses is on the machine to come out.

Happy Crafting!

Stampin Royals March Linky Party

Welcome to the Stampin' Royals Linky Pary!

Each month, the theme will be Anything Goes with an optional theme.  Since the Linky Party is a month long party, please limit your entries to ONE per day and it must be a new project made within the month of March.  As long as the project was made between March 1st through April 3rd, it can be linked up and eligible for the prize.
