Butterfly Inspirational Cards

I am late on posting this card.  I have a subscription to Northridge Publishing to have access to all magazines past and future.  When I was looking through the Create Idea Book: Stamping for January 2014 and came across this gorgeous cards that was similar to the card I made.

For my first card, I used the Distressed Wood background stamp from Pink by Design, which I inked in soft suede ink from Stampin' Up!  For my image, I used a stamp set from StampTv which is inked in poppy parade.  I thought the card needed some blink, so I added some rhinestones from Recollections to the body of the butterfly.  The sentiment is from Sweet n' Sassy stamps.

I created this card the same way as the previous with some exceptions.  I used crumb cake ink on the Distressed Wood background stamp and the sentiment is from Pink by Design.

Thank you stopping by!

I'm Hot for You!

Today I have a card I made using Jaded Blossom stamps.  I recently received the January 2014 release and I must say that it's really cute.

I decided to bring out my cricut machine for this card.  I was flipping through the Create-A-Critter handbook and came across the cute flame.  The pattern paper I used is from an old DCWV stack.  I wanted to use colors that could be masculine.  I used the Kawaii Sentiments stamp set from Jaded Blossom.

Thank you for visiting!

Funday Friday Challenge #32

It's time for another Funday Friday Challenge! This week we are doing an Anything Goes Challenge.  Our sponsor is Bugaboo Digi Stamps.  I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with my card, but I found some inspiration when I was watching the card unpacking video on Operation Write Home.  I took a piece of the Pacific Point card stock and embossed it with the fancy fans embossing folder.  The pink card stock was found in my stash.  The image was colored using my prismacolor markers.

Thank you for stopping by! Don't forget to check out other design team members made!

I'm Late!!!!

Hello crafters!  The card I have you is so fitting for me.  I am usually late with getting people their birthday cards.  I created this card using the Stamps of Life snails2mail and insides4snails stamp sets.  I love how this card turned out.

Happy Birthday Andrea!

It's my little girl birthday today! I can't believe that she is now 7 years old.  It seems like yesterday that I was bringing her home from the hospital.  Since my baby's birthday is at the beginning of the year, why not start the 2014 Birthday Card series.

The series I am working on are going to be ongoing throughout the year if they are general themes.  I don't want to limit to myself to setting a specific number of projects or time frame because I tend to stress out or become busy with other things.

Here is the card I created for my daughter's birthday...

This is a hybrid card.  I used a Monster High Mega Digital Kit from Caricoa Digital Scrapbooking and it was only $2.50 in US dollars.  I used the new word bubbles die and Just Saying stamp set from Stamping Up!.  I love how it turned out.

Thank You Card Series 2014 - Day 2

Welcome to Day 2 of the Thank You Card Series!  Today's card is the simplest card I have ever made and easy to mass produce.  I used the  Another Thank You stamp set from Stampin Up.  When I went on the website to do a link, I noticed that the stamp set was no longer being offered.  I love how you can create a simple card with the set!

Happy New Year....Thank You Card Series

Happy New Year!  I can't believe that it's 2014 already.  Last year went by really fast.

Do you have a crafty resolution?  I always make a resolution but find it hard to stick with it.  So this year, I got some crafty series that I want to complete.  With that, the first lineup in the series are Thank You cards.  With the holidays coming to an end, we all know that we need to send out those thank you notes.  I am going to give you some inspiration.

Here is the card I created...

Instructions:
1) Cut and fold a card base  Folded size is 4 1/4 x 5 1/2.
2) Cut two strips of Night of Navy card stock at 1 x 5 1/2.  Use the scallop border punch.
3) Cut a piece of Primrose Petals card stock at 3 x 5 1/2.
4) Optional: Emboss the Primrose Petals card stock.
5) Using the border strips, adhere them to the Primrose Petals card stock.
6) Adhere your image.  I used a retired bird punch from Stampin' Up!
7) Stamp your sentiment.  I used the Lots of Thanks stamp set from Stampin" Up!

All current Stampin Up products can be purchased in my store!

Top 13 Cards of 2013

It's been an amazing year! I think I am improving when it comes to creating cards.  I have found when I am creating for me or allow myself enough time, I create better projects. This year I had two blogs: Candied Cards and Stampin Pearls.  I got rid of Candied Cards because I got tired of paying for a blog.

Today I am participating in the Operation Write Home Top 13 Blog Hop.  Below are my Top 13 cards I created this year that I am extremely proud of.  I hope you find some inspiration for creating cards in 2014!

(Note: It's one of my favorites, but the image is not appropriate on an OWH card)
