Project Share: Jesus is the Reason for the Season

Hello friends!  I love this time of the year! I am proud that I have 90% of my Christmas shopping completed.  All I have to do now is work on Christmas cards and handmade gifts.  I am thinking of making sugar rubs this year. I found a couple of simple recipes on pinterest.

For my card, I used the Nativity Christmas set from Stampendous for the sentiment and image on the front of the card.  I used the decorative dots embossing folder from Stampin Up.

For the inside of my card, I used a sentiment from Hero Arts.  Unfortunately, I did not see the same of the stamp set but it was labeled CL559.

Have you finished your Christmas cards yet?  I would love to hear from you. Please comment below.

Little Angel Scrapbook Layout

Happy Monday!  Today, I have a layout that I made using a formula from Picture This Challenge.  Picture This! Challenge is a new scrapbooking challenge blog that is looking to form their first design team.  For the application, they provided a formula to use to create your layout.  The formula is one photo + frame+ flower cluster.  I am hoping that I got the flower cluster right.

For my layout,  I used 3 cricut cartridges: Elegant Edges, CTMH Artbooking, and 3 Birds on Parade.  I also used the Flower Layers and Leaf dies from Stephanie Barnard over at the Stamps of Life.  For my journaling, I used a project life card.  This is a great way to use up some of those project life cards that you have left over.  The paper pack is from the CTMH Lollydoodle collection, which is now retired.

Project Share: Happy Holidays Card

Hello Friends!  Today, I have card that I made using the October Simon Says Stamp Kit.  I was inspired by a fellow crafter, Chez, for the card.  Here is the pin of her card.

For my card, I cut the kraft card stock down to 2" x 5.5" and I sprayed gold Heidi Swapp color shine for some background texture.  I used the Hardwood stamp set to create a woodsy feel to the card.  The image and embossed sentiment is from the Be Joyful stamp set that was in the SSS Kit.  For some finish touches, I added some gold sequins from CTMH and baker's twine.  I love how this card came out!

Here is another one I made using teal color card stock.

Project Share: Christmas Flip-it Card using Stamps of Life

Hello Friends!  Today, I have another card using Stephanie Barnard's products over at the Stamps of Life.  I just love how she makes everything coordinate together, whether its for her exclusive product line or for Sizzix, everything just goes together.

Let's get to to the card.  I used the triple circle flip-it die to create the card base.  The pattern papers and ribbon came from the her card kit.  Click on the link if you want to see more information on the card kit.  The sentiments came from the ornaments4Christmas stamp set.  In order to stamp the ho, ho, ho separately, I masked off part of the stamp.  I just couldn't get myself to cut the stamp apart.

Project Share: Happy Holidays with Stamps of Life

Hello friends! Today I have I created using the Merry & Bright Card Kit from the Stamps of Life.  Over the weekend, I found this Sizzix Circle Framelit Flip-it die at Hobby Lobby and I couldn't resist using it.  The one thing I love about these dies is that you can make a fancy card without any effort.

Project Share: Reproducible Cards

Hello everyone! I am taking the 2014 Holiday Workshop from Online Card Classes.  I am so excited to be taking this class and getting those holiday cards out of the way!  For Day 1, the instructors taught some techniques that will help make some reproducible cards.

For my card today, I did not follow any of the instructors tips, but I did make some cards that are easy to put together in no time.  I kept both cards pretty simple.  I have learned that when I need to make duplicate cards to keep them as simple as possible.  This will ensure that I will not run out of products while I am in the creating process.

Thank you for stopping by! I love to read your comments on if you are going to create some holiday cards this year.  Are you going to create using one design or several variations of cards.?

Project Share: So Thankful for You

Happy Monday!  Now that Halloween is behind us, its time to create those Autumn theme and Christmas cards.  I am full gear.  I actually started pulling possible supplies that I will use this holiday season to create projects.

Today, I am sharing a card I made using the Autumn Leaves stamp set from Jaded Blossom.  I used an Autumn collection of card stock from Recollections and some Desert Sand ink from Close To My Heart to create the leaves.  The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps "Thankful for You".  I created the background using the Stampin Up "Gorgeous Grunge" stamp set.
