Summer Drink (2012-99)

Digi Haven Challenge - Click Here

I am another post for you today.  I have a card that I am entering into a couple of challenges.  It's extremely hot here in Virginia and I wanted to make a cool refreshing card.

For my card, I used an image from Sassy Studio Designs.  Doesn't it make you want to sit by the pool with your favorite summer drink.  I decided to sponge around the image using So Saffron (Stampin' Up!) and Sunset (CTMH) ink.  I added some buttons and twine.  I used my Copics and Promarkers to color in the image.  The sentiment is from Pink By Design Girls Just Wanna Have Fun set.

Challenges:
CAS-ual Fridays - 2 Circles
Freshly Made Sketches
ATC's and Cards with Attitude - Anything Goes
Brown Sugar Challenge - Summertime

Jen's Birthday Blog Hop!

Welcome to the CookingWithCricut.com and PaperCraftingWorld.com Designers June Blog Hop. Get ready for two days of great projects with each day showcasing different designers and projects. If you have come from Jessica then you are moving along. If you would like to start from the beginning, please head over to CookingWithCricut.com.

This month our hop theme is all about Birthdays and one special one in mind. Our wonderful DT Coordinator Jen Hudson’s birthday just happened to fall on Saturday so we decided to make birthday inspired projects with a “Jen” theme in mind. Our go to gal is a die-hard Florida Gator Fan. So we decided to use elements on our projects that reflected Our GATOR FOR LIFE Gal’s FANCY;  Florida, The Florida Gators and anything that would make you think of the Sunshine State. Jen is the last on our blog line up so be sure to hop through and leave her some extra special love at the end!

For my card, I used the Croc Rules Cricut Lite cartridge.  I have really been in a summer theme mood lately!  I used the image with the Alligator on the island.  I used some pattern paper that I printed using the Hey Diddle Diddle imagine cartridge.  I chose this pattern because I wanted the water effect.  I stitched around the card using some CTMH waxy flax.  The sentiment is from Pink by Design Crikey stamp set.  Lastly, I wanted to create the sand effect so I added some liquid pearls and stickles around my little island.

 Happy Birthday Jen!  You're Jawsome!

Be sure to head over to CWC and leave a comment for a chance to win some great blog candy! Now on to your next stop Marji.

For the Digi Haven Challenge - Click here!

Happy Friday!  Today is the final challenge for the second term DT members.  For this challenge, we decided to do anything goes.

For my card, I used the Sweet Talk stamp set.  I just love this set.  It's full of sweet sentiments that can be used for practically any card.   I used a past sketch from Card Patterns for the layout of the card.  The image is from Kenny K designs.  I just love their artwork!  I used my copic markers to color in the image.

Thanks for joining me today for the CTV challenge.  Don't forget to stop by and play along with us!

Digi Haven Summer Theme Challenge (2012-93)

Hello everyone!  Welcome  to the third challenge over at Digi Haven!  I am super excited that summer is here!  Not so crazy about the heat waves here in the DC area!  The past couple of days have been really, really, really hot!  Really!

The theme this week is to make a card with a summer theme.  Remember your image must be a free digi stamp.  If you need some help looking for free digi stamps visit the Digi Haven blog for a listing.

For my card, I used a digi stamp from Broken Box Stock.  It's a cute Chelsea and Mario Sandcastle image.  I used my copic markers to color in the image.  I used some old K&Company paper that I got last year.  It made the perfect back drop for my image.

The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps "Fun in the Sun" set.  I love this set.  I have really been working with it a lot.  You pick up this set for your summer themed projects.

Make sure you stop by the Digi Haven Challenge blog and see the amazing projects my fellow DT members came up with.  They really used some great free digi stamps.  Thanks for stopping by!

You know you want me! (2012-92)

Here's my second post of the day!!  This has to be one of my favorite cards to date. The image is called Cabaret from Kenny K! I am loving Kenny K stamps!  The sentiment is from Pink By Design "Flirty Girl" stamp set.  I used my Copic markers to color in the image.  I just ordered some Promarkers.  I need a cheaper solution to copics because the price is going up too high!

I hope you enjoy today's post.  Make sure you tune in tomorrow for the Cardz TV Stamps challenge and the Digi Haven Challenge!

Lazy Days of Summer (2012-91)

Today, I have a card that I decided to enter into the Some Odd Girl challenge.  The theme is to color non-traditional hair.  For my card, I used a past sketch from CPS and some rub-ons.  I decided to color her hair in purple.  I am still learning how to color with my copics, but I love how it turned out.

The sentiment is from the Fun in the Sun Cardz TV stamp set.  Make sure you check out Mary's stamps, they are wonderful.

Thanks for stopping by.  Keep your eyes open, I will have another post today.

So Glad (2012-90)

Hi Everyone!  Today, I have a card that was made using the My Digital Studio software.  CAS cards are my favorite cards to make and are great for beginners!  When I started card making, I use to get so intimidated by other crafters because their cards had so much detailed.  I have learned that clean and simple can be just as beautiful.

I used the Fashion District stamp set for my card.  This stamp set is only available through My Digital Studio.  I created a jpg file, which I imported into the Silhouette Studio and I cut a standard A2 size out.  Using my copic markers, I colored in the glass with the olive to make it stand out.

Thank you for stopping by!

Rejoice in the Lord (2012-88)

Hi everyone!  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.  I had a pretty decent time this weekend.  I have one final exam to take this week then I am on vacation for the next two weeks.

Welcome to the My Cricut Craft Room Imagination Monday!  For today's card, I used the Imagine More cartridge.  This card was designed in the cricut craft room.  The card base is approximately 4.5 by 6.8.  I cut the border out at 1.1 inches and the advice image is cut out at 2 inches.

I used the Rejoice stamp set from Cardz TV for the sentiment.

Thank you for stopping today!  Check back tomorrow to see my post using a sketch from Card Patterns!

Digi Haven Challenge (2012-87)

TGIF Everyone!  Don't you just love Fridays! I do especially since I know that I do not have to go to work for the next three days.

Welcome to the Digi Haven Challenge!  For our second challenge, use a free floral digi stamp on your card.   I found this cute flower  image over at Little Scraps of Heaven Designs .  I used my copic markers to color the image.

I used a past sketch from Freshly Made Sketches for the layout of the card.  I used the So-So Sweet Paper Pack from Paper Studio.  To add in some more of the green, I used the Peapod twine for some added embellishment.   On the center of the flower, I added some liquid glass for some added dimension.

Thank you for stopping by today! Don't forget to join us in this week's challenge over at Digi Haven!

Digi Haven Challenge - Click Here
Cardz TV Stamps Challenge - Click Here

I cannot believe that this is my third post of the day!  I have a quick card I made for the first Ink It Pink! Challenge.  The challenge is to use words as the backgound. I used the PBD Subway Art stamp set to create the background.  I used a gymnast SVG from Silhouette.  I created this card because I am starting my weight loss journey and I need some encouragement.  I am tired of having this weight and it needs to go, so I can get back to the me that I know.

My Guy CTV Challenge (2012-82)

Hello crafters! I am so happy it's Friday!  Today, I have Cardz TV Stamps DT Challenge for you.  The theme is "My Guy"! Father's Day is around the corner and it's time to get those cards completed.

I went through my Silhouette files to see what I wanted to use for my card.  It's been awhile since I used my SVGs.  I had a file for a shirt card and thought it would be perfect for the challenge.  I embossed the front of the card using square lattice embossing folder.  How many times have you seen coffee stains on a man's shirt?  I wanted to make some coffee stains.

The sentiment is from Cardz TV Stamps It's A Guy Thing stamp set.  It's a fun stamp set for the men in your life.

Thank you for stopping by! Don't forget to play along with us in the challenge.  You can play along at Cardz TV!
