Retail Therapy (2012-62)

Hi Crafters! Today, I have a different kind of card for you today!  I have a hybrid card.  A hybrid card is a mix of digital and traditional handmade cards.  Usually I would add an embellishment, but I didn't do so for this card today.

For my card, I started out using the My Memories Suite, which is a digital scrapbooking software.  Unlike My Digital Studio from Stampin' Up! (I have this too! and CTMH), you cannot professionally print cards.  With the first version of My Memories Suite, you could; then the card feature was removed in V2.  However, it made a return in V3, but you can only print from your personal computer.

I created the card base from the Chain of Hope Digital Pack.  After I had the base laid out the way I wanted, I created a JPEG and saved to my files.  I opened up my Silhouette software and imported my card base.  Using the My Grafico files, I imported and resized the shopping lady image to fit in the white layer.  I used the trace feature to only cut around the base of the card.

Once the card was printed and cut, I had to trim off only a little of excess in order for it to fit on the card.  Using the Good Friends Stamp Set from Cardz TV Stamps, I stamped my sentiment using memento ink.

Even though I did not do this, you can add some bling, buttons, glitter and real ribbon to your hybrid cards.

I hope you enjoyed today's post.  I will be doing a video on how I created this card soon.  Your sweet comments is always appreciated!
