Red, White and Blue Challenge

Have you heard that there is a new website for the Pink by Design design team --click here-- to check it out.  For the challenge, I decided to create a card using the Pink By design Red, White, and Blue and Independence Day stamp sets.  I created a background image using the Independence Day stamp set and I also stamped and cut out the flag.  I wrapped some divine twine on the left side of the first layer of the card.  Using the Red, White, and Blue stamp set, I stamped the sentiment "Red, white, and blue forever".

Here are pictures of the stamp sets used:

Masculine Birthday Card

Happy Sunday! You want to hear something funny.  A couple of days ago, I posted that I lost my camera, so I ended up buying a new one.  Guess what I found yesterday? My camera.  I am loving the new camera and I am going to keep it.

Today is challenge day over at Birthday Sundaes.  This week challenge is to make a masculine birthday card. Come over and join us in this week's challenge.   Masculine cards are a challenge for me, but here is my take on the challenge.

Round 1 Project Cuts

I made several projects for the Pink Cricut design team call.  Well, we can only submit 3 projects and I am narrowing down the projects that I want to submit.  I think that I a clear idea of the three I want, but I want to make sure I submit the right projects.  However, there are projects that did not make the cut.  Here is one of them.

New Projects are Coming

Hello crafty friends! I finally got another camera! I love my new camera and this time it will not be misplaced.  If you have not heard, Sarah aka Pink Cricut,  is having a design team call and I have been working really hard trying to come up with some knock out projects using her stamps.  All I have to submit me are three projects, but I did more and I am trying to narrow down which projects I want to submit.  If you want to participate in the design team call, visit http://www.pinkcricut.com and visit her store at http://www.pinkbydesignstore.com.

Missing Camera

I have been having panic attacks since last night.  I was ready to take pictures of projects I have created and where is my camera? No where to be found.  I am trying to submit projects for the Pink Cricut Design Team Call and I have no camera.  So, I ended up ordering one, which is a SLR-style digital camera, from HSN.  I had it ship ASAP so it will be in tomorrow.  Hopefully, nothing goes wrong.

Birthday Sundaes - Pearls and Lace

Happy Sunday! Today is challenge day over at Birthday Sundaes.  This weeks challenge is to make a card using pearls and lace.  Since joining this design team, I have been trying to push myself more and more.  For the first time, I actually cut out my stamped image.  I usually do not like to cut because I have carpal tunnel and it hurts to cut.  I used the Pink by Design "Vintage Greetings" for my greeting.  As you can tell, I had a hiccup when I was stamping.  I used lace trimming and a pearl accent on the flower, which was from Stampin' Up!  Overall, I think the card came out pretty good.

Don't forget to stop by Birthday Sundaes to see the rest of the design team's projects and even participate in the challenge so we can get inspiration from you!

DAD

Happy Wednesday! I have been so busy with work and school lately that my crafting has been neglected.  Well luckily it's challenge day over at CCC.  For this weeks challenge, we had to make a masculine card using any cartridge and colors .  For my project, I decided to get a head start on my Father's Day card.  I used the Nifty Fifties cricut cartridge to cut of the word DAD.  I cut 4 two inch squares using Stampin' Up! Nautical DSP and used my crimper to crimp the paper. Using a circle punch, I punched a circle using Cherry Cobbler cardstock.  I inked the edges using Early Espresso ink.

"Love" Layout

Here is a layout I did for a design team call.  Sonia is having a design team call for her new challenge blog, Cricut 360.  It's a challenge blog for everyone who loves their cricut.  Any cricut machine can be used and I think I own them all.  For the design team call, participants have to make a card or layout using your cricut machine.  I used an old sketch I had from a year ago to make this layout.  I used the Slumber Party Cricut Lite cartridge for the circle.  I also cut a butterfly (I think I used the Cricut Alphabet cartridge). Here is my project.

Birthday Sundaes Challenge - Week 8

Happy Mother's Day! How are you spending this Mother's Day?  I am planning on relaxing.  My mom came up for a visit and we went out for dinner on Saturday.  My daughter and I love it when my mom comes for a visit.

It's challenge day over at Birthday Sundaes.  For this week's challenge, we had to a card using two pattern papers and three embellishments.  For my project, I used the Enjoy the Season Imagine Cartridge and I tried doing faux shadowing with the image.  Here is my project.

NSD Pink Stamper Challenge #4

Here is my second project, which is MPS challenge #4.  The challenge is to make a Mother's Day theme project.

NSD Pink Stamper Challenge #1

Happy National Scrapbook Day! As you may know, Robyn - The Pink Stamper is having her annual NSD challenge day.  I am getting an extremely late start, but here is my first project.  The challenge is to make a project using a cupcake image.  For my project, I used the Cricut Alphabet cartridge (only found on the Cricut Expression 2) to cut my cupcake image.  I used a cupcake background stamp - isn't super cute.  I topped the project off with some ribbon.

I have a video on this project, but I will post it later.

Teacher Appreciation Blog Hop

Welcome and thank you for joining us at Jen’s Craft Corner Teacher Appreciation Blog Hop!   You should have arrived here from Michelle.  If you just happened to stumble upon this hop, please be sure to go back to Jen’s blog (link my blog {www.jenscraftcorner.com }, so you don't miss any of the wonderful projects we have to share.

-Discus your project
For those of you that don't know, my daughter attends daycare. She'll start kindergarten in 2012 and I still can't believe how fast the time went.  She has two talented teachers in her class and my initial project was going to be for them.  Then this week, we found out that the Assistant Director accepted another job and will be leaving at the end of the month.  My daughter loves the Assistant Director (I think it's because of the extra snacks she gets) and will miss her dearly.  So, I decided to make a simple mini album where she can write in some memories and store some pictures.  This is my first mini album and I think that it turned out great.

Thank you so much for joining us for today’s Teacher Appreciation Blog Hop!  Your next stop is the talented Sonia!  Here is the line up in case you get lost:

Let's Getaway

Good Morning,

Today is challenge day for Design Team 2 over at Cricut Cardz Challenge.  For this week's challenge is to make a card with a beach theme.  For my project, I used the Pack Your Bags cartridge.  Isn't it perfect for beach theme projects.  Also, I used the Blossom pattern imagine cartridge to flood fill the circle.  I kept this card simple because I wanted the main focus to the beach setting.  A card like this will be perfect if you wanted to invite some friends to a beach vacation or maybe surprise that special someone in your life.

Flowers Whispers

Happy Monday!  I hope everyone enjoyed their weekend.  My mom came up for a weekend visit which is always nice.  My daughter loves to see her grandmother.  I get completely ignored when she is around.  Also, this weekend I brought a new living room and dining room set.  I have to wait for the living room set get to the warehouse.  They said it will be a couple of weeks, but I hope it won't take too long.

I actually had a video planned today but I was having a problem cutting a detailed cut from the Elegant Edges cartridge, so I had to change which cut I was going to use.  For this project, I made a 5x5 card using the Elegant Edges cartridge, which is cut at 4.25 inches.  Also, I used the Cricut Essentials cartridge, which is installed on the Cricut Expression 2, for the flower image and I cut it out at 2.5 inches.  I used a sentiment stamp from Pink By Design "Life's a Garden" stamp set.
