Happy Saturday! I hope everyone on the East Coast is safe. It has been one heck of a week for the East coast. First an earthquake, now a hurricane.
Well, I decided to take to the craft room to take my mind off the hurricane. I created my first ever center step card. I am so happy how it turned out. I am entering this card in the Birthday Sundaes Challenge.

It's Friday! Today is challenge day for DT#1 over at MAG. This week's which challenge is to create a project using the Sweet Treats cricut cartridge page 45. I decided to make a layout using the Fairytale paper stack from The Paper Studio. I thought that the paper was so gorgeous that I didn't want to cut it. I cut out 3 crowns at 1.5 inches. I used the Pink By Design "All Girl" stamp sets to placed sentiments over the photo mats.
Happy Wednesday! It has been a bag of nerves here in Northern Virginia. Some of us experienced our first earthquake. I was in the middle of a meeting when we felt the building shake. We had to leave the building. It took me 4.5 hours to get home. No cabs would take me into Northern Virginia from DC. I had to take 3 buses to get to my car and then I was late picking up my daughter. My legs are hurting from all the walking I had to do too!
So, on to this week's Cricut Cardz Challenge. The theme this week is "It's a Jungle Out There!" Make a child’s birthday card using something you’d see in a jungle…monkey, lion, tiger, giraffe, zebra, hippo, etc, and any cartridges or colors you’d like.
For my card, I wanted to make something different. So I googled animals of the jungle and noticed that crocodiles were in the jungle. This made me bring out the cartridge Crocs Rule. I cut everything out at 4" using my cricut imagine. I used some pattern paper that I had in my stash. The sentiment came from Pink By Design Crikey stamp set. Also, this is my first time making a Z fold card.
Hello crafters! Welcome to the first week of Stampin' Pearls 10 Weeks of Halloween. Each week I am going to a project to inspire some of those Halloween projects that people may be working on. This week, I have a really simple card I made using Graphic 45 Halloween in Wonderland. I have never used Graphic 45 paper before, so I was a little intimidated by using this collection. I cut out one of the pictures and pattern paper. I don't remember where I got this sketch from but I wanted to use for this card. I added some divine twine to bring out the Mad Hatter picture.
Hello Crafty Friends! Lately I have been trying to be more focus when it comes to my crafting. I have decided to select a couple of cartridges and stamp sets to make projects with. The first cartridge is Wall Decor and More. I decided to case the card that was showcased in the booklet. It was pretty easy to make; however, the card fold that was used was alittle difficult to sit up. I had to place a piece of cardstock in the back to make the card sit up straight.
Also, I am entering this card in the Paper Cutz Challenge which is to make a project using turquoise, red, black and white.
Happy Monday! Well, I was on my way to work to hear that one of the train stops have been suspended due to flooding. We had to get off at the Braddock Road station and take a shuttle to the airport in order to get back on the train. Well, that was too much, especially for a Monday. I am fortunate enough to be allowed to work from home, so I just retuned home.
Here is a card that I started yesterday and completed today. All of the supplies are from Stampin' Up! I am entering this card to the following challenges: Birthday Sundaes - Use at least 3 brads Casual Friday - CFC #15
Happy Friday! I am so ready for the weekend. I have no special plans, but I am in need for some much needed sleep. This week's challenge over at M.A.G Challenge by the Page is page 89 of Tags, Bags, Boxes and More. I haven't really worked with tags before, so I wasn't too sure what I wanted to do. Here is what I came up with:
I sprayed Terra Cotta Antiquing Solution on the tan side of the cardstock. I used SU! Notably Ornate to stamp a journaling spot. Using My Mind's Eye Lost and Found paper collection to create the other side of the tag and the pocket.
I used the Artisan Etching SU! stamp set to stamp the crowns and Eiffel Tower on the pattern paper.
I am not sure if you can tell from the pictures, but I used some Perfect Pearl Mist on both sides of the tag.
Happy Wednesday! It's challenge day over at Cricut Cardz Challenge. This week's challenge is to make a card with hearts using any cartridge and any colors except red and pink. For my card, I decided to use the heart shape installed in the Cricut Imagine and Bubblegum Stripes. I used the diaper fold technique and attached it to the card base and wanted hearts spilling out of it. To create some separation from all the purple and blue used in the card, I added some faux stitching around the heartsI love how it turned out.
Good Morning Everyone! I hope that you are enjoying your weekend so far. My daughter and I are visiting my mom since my aunt came into town from New York. I am going to miss crafting since I am finally getting back into my craft room. Even though, I am not finish with trying to get some organization in my craft room, but my dining room was starting to look like a complete mess. So, I had to move some things around so I can get back into my room and be comfortable.
