Happy Holidays Card

I hope everyone is having a scrap-tastic day.  I have been so business trying to study for mid-terms this week.  I am really nervous because I don't understand all the material.  However, I will pray over it tonight.

I made a card using the Winter Folic cricut cartridge.  I used my Gypsy to layout my images and cut out at 3.5 inches (I think?)  I also used the Martha Stewart Christmas paper (I think it's called winter).  I am going to catch some sleep and I hope you enjoy the card.

Post It Note Organizer

Good Morning!  Today's project is a post it note organizer.  I scraplifted this project from Angie Juda over at Chicnscratch.  She has such beautiful projects using Stampin' Up! products.  I cannot wait until I can get more Stampin' Up! inventory, but it's not in the budget right now.

Supplies

Pretty in Pink cardstock
Lap in Luxury designer series paper
Whisper White cardstock
Pretty in Pink ink
Old Olive ink
Apple Blossoms Stamp Set

This project is great for small gifts for co-workers.  I am planning on making some more and incorporating my cricut on some.  Look out for an upcoming video on this project.

A smaller post it note can fit at the bottom, but I didn't have any around the house.

Cricut Card Challenge #51

Hello Crafters!  Well, today is Cricut Cardz Challenge.  For this challenge, we had to create a card using only Blue, Yellow, Orange, Brown, and White.  I used A Child's Year cricut cartridge.  I found this image using cricutsearch.com.  I love that site because it makes looking a particular images so much easier.

Please join us over at Cricut Cardz Challenge for this week's challenge!

Paper Cutz Challenge #67

I did this layout for the Paper Cutz Challenge.  The challenge was to make a Thanksgiving layout using buttons and bows.  When I did my layout, I forgot to add the bow, but I think it turned out great.  I had a video for this project, but I was too long and I didn't know what should be edited out.

Christmas is in the air

I hope everyone is having a crafty day and I wanted to Happy Veteran's Day to all the men and women who serve this country.

Last week, I stated how inspired I was with all the Christmas cards that I wanted to dedicate some projects to Christmas.  Don't you just love the holidays! Here is a card that I created using my new Snow Angel Imagine Cartridge.  I decided to cut the house out at 4 inches and the sentiment at 2 inches.  This is why I love my Imagine because I see how the images are going to cut on the mat and I don't really have to guess which measurements will cut just right.

I hope everyone has a crafty day!

Club Ruby Kit for November

Here is a video of the latest club ruby kit that I wanted to share with everyone.  I cannot wait to get started on some projects for Thanksgiving.

Planning Objectives - Tips

I am reading this book on writing; the author of the book has made some great suggestions on writing down your objectives for any given period of time.  I found his tips to be very useful and can apply to maintaining a blog, especially if you are as busy as me.

While his objective setting techniques apply to long range projects, there are some good points that he makes.  I have summarized some of his points:

  • Set both short term and long term objectives
  • You can set daily objectives.  In the paper crafting world, this can be: Monday - cut out images needed for this weeks projects; Tuesdays - prepare outline of projects to make for the upcoming week, etc.
  • Maintain a calendar for your long range projects, blocking out known appointments.
  • Keep your objectives where you can see them.
I am working on my objectives now, starting with an outline I of the projects I want to create this week.  I hope that someone can use this tips to help maintain their blog postings.  Have a crafty day!

Christmas Theme

I have been so inspired by the Christmas theme this week at Cricut Cardz Challenge that I am going to dedicate my next couple of projects to Christmas themes.  Hopefully, this will give me my head start on my Christmas cards and gift giving projects.  I hope everyone can join me in gearing up for the 2010 holiday season.

Cricut Card Challenge #49

It's another week for Design Team #2 in Cricut Cardz Challenge.  For this week's challenge, we have to make a Christmas card using any cricut cartridge and colors.  However, the image have be a Christmas image that starts with the letter "S".

For my project, I used the Joys of the Season cricut cartridge.  I used the image of the sleigh.  The materials I used for this project is whisper white cardstock from Stampin' Up!, patterned paper and cardstock from DCWV Christmas Stack and Glittered Christmas Stack.  Also, I used cardstock from Recollections for the image.  I used bashful blue ink from Stampin' Up to create a winter background for my image.  I stamped the sentiment Merry Christmas using the Christmas Past stamp set from Recollections.

I really enjoyed making this card and I hope you get inspired to join us for the challenge at http://cricutcardzchallenge.blogspot.com/.

Love You Card

Well, I am still trying to organize my craft room after being back in my home for a week.  I got so frustrated today that I said I have to get this room done and stop working in the chaos.  So, when I get off from work tomorrow that is what I will be working on. I am in the middle of tearing up my boxes looking for my YourStory.  I think that the moving company never returned it, along with my office chair and Christmas tree.  I am not surprise since they delivered someone else plates to my house.  I told them about their error and has yet come to retrieve the plates.

Any-who,  I created this card using my cricut imagine.  I made a simple card that easily express how I feel about how I feel about that special person.  I used the Best Friends cartridge for this project.  For this project, I decided to double layer the flowers and I added some twine for something extra.  I hope you enjoy.
