Creating Your Own Scrapbook Kits - Tip of the Day

Hello Crafters! Today, I am sharing with you a tip I found on Scrapbook.com.  I was trying to find some time savings tips for doing my crafting.  There are times when I am so exhausted after work that I am too tired to do anything.  Or I find myself wasting more time on trying to find the right colors to go with the images  I want to create.  Sometimes I forget that I do not have to use the suggested colors in the cricut cartridge handbook.  Any woo, I find this to be very frustrating.  Well, one day I was on Scrapbook.com reading different articles, when I came across an article on Creating Your Own Kits.

The author of the article created this formula for making your kits:

  • 6 sheets of 12" x 12" cardstock (2 pieces of 3 colors)
  • 4 to 6 sheets of coordinating patterned papers
  • 1 set of alphabet stickers, chipboard letters, or rub-ons (you can probably substitute theses for your cricut images and any stamping products)
  • journaling cards, journal-box stamped images, printed quotes, etc.
  • 3-D elements that coordinate with the themes, colors, or patterns
    • buttons
    • ribbons
    • bling
    • chipboard shapes
I think that taking a day to do these kits can save time throughout the week to sit down and create your pages.  This same formula can be used in your card making.  Create your kits for the cards that you are planning to create for week.  Also, I believe that this is great tool for those of us that blog, but have a very business schedule.  I can't wait to sit down and try this time saving technique to see how this works out and of course I will keep everyone posted.
