Thank You Card

I made this card for my design team submission.  I thought that this was sooo cute.  I used the create-a-critter cartridge to make the monkey.  I added some bling with the green jewels.  The cardstock I used was Recollections from Michaels.  I used the MPS stamps from the Everyday Occasions ( I think!)  I used a EK Success border punch on the patterned paper.

Hello Crafters! You know the one thing that my mother and I say when we are about to hang up the phone? Owl Righty or is it al-righty. Since the day my daughter has been able to talk, she has caught on to our catch phrase and it is so cute.  So, when I purchased the Hoot-n-Holler cricut lite cartridge and saw the phrase, I couldn't resist doing a scrapbook page.  So, I want to share it with you.

Hello Kitty Love You Card

Hello Crafters!!! I am trying to keeping my head up with everything dealing with my house.  I am trying to get back on schedule even from a hotel.  I have been crafting almost every night, unless I was super tired from the stress of trying to get my home back to livable conditions.

Today's cricut cartridge spotlight is on Hello Kitty.  A couple of weeks ago, I brought several of books/magazines on card making.  I got the idea of creating a single page card and to layer it with a regular card.

I cut a piece of 12 x 12 red Brazzil cardstock down to 8 x 8.

Using an Love You. stamp, I stamped Love You all over the cardstock using Stampin' Up! real red and bashful blue ink.

I used a hearts border punch on black cardstock.  Also, I used designer pattern paper for a layered border. Sorry, I don't remember the measurements.

I use the Hello Kitty image out a 3 1/2 inches.  Using the card feature and silhouette  , I cut the present image

Hope you enjoy!

Back to School - Thursday Throwback Challenge

Hello everyone! Well, my daughter and I are still displaced from the storm.  I decided to move a majority of  my crafting supplies to the hotel.

I decided to do the My Creative Time's Throwback challenge.  The theme was back to school.  I used the My Community cartridge.  I decided to use the snack time image, which was cut at 3 inches.  I found some alphabet pattern paper, which I cut at 4x5 1/4" and layered to my brown cardstock.  I another layer which was used to place my image.  I hope you enjoy!

And the winner is....

I was suppose to post this blog post yesterday, but we had a major storm and water damaged my home.  My ceiling collapsed in my upstairs hall and living room.  Luckily everyone was okay.  So here is my post for Thursday and if I can get around to doing something, I will post a Friday project.

Thursday is a journaling prompt or technique.  I have gotten some great journaling prompts and as a start of an all about be mini album, I wanted to journal about my favorite movies. While I have tons of favorite movies, I only chose to do one two page layout.  There will definitely be more as times goes on.  My first all time favorite movie is Gone with the Wind.  I decided to journal my memories about watching the film and the sequel.  I included my favorite memorable line and characters from the movie.

I do not like my handwriting.

As promised

On Wednesday, I said that I would show the interior of the Think Big card.  Here it goes.

Think Big Card

Today is Wednesday and I am continuing to showcase the Wall Decor and More cricut cartridge.  I created this Think Big card.  I use the giraffe and the cobblestone images.  I embossed the stones of the cobblestone walkway.  I added a yellow layer and used a heart border punch.  On the inside of the card, I added a layer with a poem, but something went wrong with uploading the photo.  Once I fix the issue, I will re-post.

Elegant "for you" card

Today is Tuesday! I am showcase the Stampin' Up! Elements of Style stamp set.  I just love this stamp set! I created a card using the Riding Hood Red and Cherry Cobbler.  I forgot whose blog I scrap lifted the idea from, but I made some changes to add my own touch.  The original idea of the card was suppose to be tone on tone.  However, I decided to use a Dynamic duo combination and added the vanilla cardstock to give a more elegant feel.  I used Cherry Cobbler ink for the stamped image.

I'm a Princess and I want to relax

Hello crafters!  Today is Monday and I am showcasing the Wall decor and More cricut cartridge.  I created this simple scrapbook layout using the phrase "relax" and the chair image from the Wall Decor and More cartridge.  I wish I could remember the cardstock that I used for this layout, but I do not remember.  I think that it came from a scrap pack I got several months ago.  I cut the phrase out at 4 1/2 inches and the image at 3 1/2 inches.  I took some patterned paper and torn both sides using a ruler for the straight edge.  I added a tag that states: Being a princess is a full time job, but someone has to do it.

Weekly Schedule

Hey everyone! I have been trying to get back into the swing of things. Before my new classes start for my MBA program, I wanted to create a schedule for my crafting.  Each week I want to do one Stampin' Up! showcase and one cricut showcase.  Also leave some room for showing 3D projects and other techniques and possibly some journaling techniques/prompts.  Here is what I have came up with so far:

Monday - Cricut Showcase
Tuesday - Stampin' Up! Showcase
Wednesday - Cricut and/or Stampin' Up! project
Thursday - Journal Prompt/Technique
Friday - Grab Bag Friday! Anything goes!
