Cricut cardz challenge #26

Here is the card I did for the cricut cardz challenge where we had to make a card using eyelets or brads.  I used a purple cardstock as the base of the card and pink cardstock as the layer.  Using flower stamps, I embossed the pink cardstock in gold and lavender.  This technique I using two embossing powders I learned from stampin' up!  I used purple and blue prima flowers and coordinating eyelets.  Hope you enjoy and feel free to follow my blog.

Key to my heart

I love this layout.  I am creating an album for my daughter's father and this is the first page that I created.  I am so proud of this page.  I think that this was the first time that I actually believed that I am capable of creating a beautiful layout.  I used brown cardstock from the DCWV Home collection.  Also, I used the blue layer from the DCWV Home pattern cardstock collection.  Sorry, but I don't remember the cut size.  I used the sentimental cricut cartridge to cut the phrase and the image.  I cut the phrase at 4 inches and the key at 5 1/2 inches.  I used my slice machine to cut the both the circle and the scalloped circle, along with the picture.  I placed rub-on phrases from a 3 bird collection from HSN.  Lastly, I printed the printed at 4" x 6" and placed the antique effect on the image to make it look timeless.

I have some good news.  The other day I signed up to be a Stampin Up! demonstrator!  I can not wait to get started.

Circut Cardz Challenge #25

Hello everyone!! I made this card for the Circut Cardz Challenge today.  I enjoyed making this card.  I decided to make a pink and green card since my blog is called Pink and Green Creations.  I used pink cardstock cut at 5 1/2 x 8 inches.  I layered the card with DCWV blossoms butterfilies stack, it's cut at 4 3/4 x 3 3/4 inches.  I used the Storybook circut cartridge to cut out the butterfly.  I cut the butterfly with green cardstock to use as my base and I used patterned paper for the top layer which is popped up.  I used pink and green ribbon to add a little something extra.  Hope you enjoy.

Graduation Card

Hello everyone!  This is the first entry for my new website.  I had one of my best friends graduate this past weekend.  I made a card for her but I was not exactly happy about it.  I created this card to mail  instead.  I used the Locker Talk cricut cartridge.  I cut the card out at 8 1/2 inches and then I used to fit to length button, which cut the card out at 4 1/4 x 8 1/2 inches.  On the inside of the card, I used my slice machine to cut the layer at 3 1/2 inches.  I added some sentiments and layered stamps to complete the card.

Here is my every first video.  It's kind of funny since I am learning how to make videos.  You can also hear my daughter in the background.  Hopefully it's not too bad.

First Video

I am excited to announce that I have done my first video.  The video is short but I wanted to get my feet wet.  It's an interesting video because my 3-year-old walked in on me.  All I have to do is import the video and make my edits.  Hopefully, everything will work out.

Hello Kitty Layout

Here is a scrapbook page that I did using the Hello Kitty cartridge.  I cut out the cheerleader kitty and need to think of how I wanted to use the cutout.  I decided to make a simple layout page.  I used pink and yellow cardstock from a scrap pack I brought from Michaels.  Now, the rose color layer I got from Michaels, but I got it years ago.  I do know that I got it from a pack of specialty scraps that had embossed papers and distressed papers.  I used a brown cardstock as a mat for my photo.  This is a photo of me when I was baby.  You have to love the '80s.  I hope you enjoy the layout.

Forever Young Simple Layout

Here is a simple layout using the Forever Young Cartridge.  I decided to go with a red and white theme that I thought went good together.  I used plain white cardstock as the background.  I cut the red layer out using the gypsy wandering cartridge.  I cut the lady and her layers at 3.5 inches and added the sentiment Fashion Queen.  Sorry the picture is so blurry.  The picture was taken with my cell phone at the time. Hope you enjoy!

Cute as a Bug

Here is a card that I did while Creations with Christina.  She is doing the Just Because cricut cartridge series.  I decided to make the "Cute as a Bug" card.  I messed up on the size of the images, but since I am a beginner cardmaker, I decided to post my card with the imperfections to document my growth.

I cut my card and the layer at 6.5 inches.  The envelope was cut at 4.25 inches.  Here is where I made the mistake.  I should have cut out the images at 6.5 inches; however, I cut them out at 3.5 inches.  Next, time I'll know the size to cut the images out at.  Happy scrapping.

Well, I wanted to do every challenge the my pink stamper was having, but I couldn't do them all.  Half way through, I remembered that I had a paper to finish to for school that was due yesterday.  I'll get it next year.

MPS NSD Challenge 4

In Challenge 4 (yes I am behind), we had to create a project using a cricut cartridge we use the least.  I decided to the My World cartridge.  I created something simple.  I call it "The Nina meets the Love Boat".

MPS NSD Challenge 1

Here is my challenge project.  I created a very simple Mother's Day card.  I used the A child's year and sentimental cartridges.  I cut the card out at 5.5 x 8.5 inches.  I placed a light pink layer and embossed it with the victorian embossing folder in my cuttlebug.  I place a cream ribbon ( there is no name of the ribbon, I got it from Michaels) using Robyn's cheater method and place as bow tie.  I cut the mom image out at 3 inches and I also cut a shadow to incorporate the cream ribbon.

On the inside of the card, I stamped a little sentiment that says " Daughters are little girls that grow up to be your best friend".  I love that saying because my mom is my best friend.  On the other side, I cut a library card envelope from the sentimental cartridge.  I printed on a mocha cardstock a mother's day poem and used the center point on the cricut to cut a tag to place inside of the envelope.  It took about two tries to get the tag to cut out right.  I think that my mom is going to really enjoy the card.  I already got a request to make a card for my cousin's birthday.

National Scrapbook Day

I hope you all are excited for National Scrapbook Day.  Today, the my pink stamping and crop divas destinations will being host NSD events.  I am planning doing some of challenges.  I spent a lot of time yesterday re-arranging my craft/guest room to get things better organized.  I hope you all are planning to participate and share some of your projects.
